Today I went and updated the SSL certificate for the site. Well sort of. I ran the commands that update it using certbot. I will probably continue to run it because I like using the command line when I can.

The other thing I did was order a few things for the Raspberry Pi and the arcade bartop I’m hoping to build out. One thing I do want to think about is what colors I want to use and maybe what design I would like to create on it, if I do decide to paint some characters. I thought about doing some arcade classic like asteroids or Donkey Kong. I’ll figure that out later.

The other thing I’ll have to do is maybe figure out if I want to get the automatic certs to work but that may require a little extra time on my end. I tried the first time when I swapped over to using Digital Ocean but that didn’t totally pan out. I kept getting some error but I didn’t want to dive too deep in so I moved on and just did a manual install.

I did like that I was able to do this much quicker this time around because I have gotten a little more comfortable using the command line. The one command that really has helped is the history command. It’s been great both for the site and for my personal computer that uses Fedora.

Recently though I haven’t really had much time to look over code either so being able to use the command line was a very welcome change. I will need to hop back on the WordPress support forums again and possibly tinker with a plugin but to be completely honest here I haven’t had much interesting in creating anything when it comes to code. The last time I wanted to do that was my keyboard firmware and even that sort of fizzled away.

I’ll get back at it one day, I hope.
