With making the switch over to Digital Ocean I took out my contact me page link. Why? Because I don’t want to use it to be honest. I haven’t really used it other than getting WordPress related updates from other teams. That was the email I used for many of those things.

It was also used at the bottom of the comments so that if somebody did try to make a comment and it didn’t show I would potentially get a message. That never really happened and I’m really happy it didn’t happen. I like having to only deal with one email and that’s fine by me. I don’t want to be maintaining so many emails and I don’t want to be creating a mailbox either for something I won’t use much. The main reason I wanted to do this was so when I do have to update things and I get prompted if I still have access to the email, I, to an extent do.

This is what I may need to do down the line because I will want to update the email I used for the DMV. It was giving me a hard time with my regular Gmail one and so I used my personal domain instead.

When I get to it, I’ll get to it. Odds are I’ll be spending most of my day fiddling around with settings and DNS stuff to get it all working. I do need to figure out which service I want to use though and that means reading up again.

This year will be very entertaining for sure. It has been so far.
